Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors created Reform LA Jails as an organization to permanently rectify LA’s carceral system. At Reform LA Jails, policy makers, grassroots organizers, and community members successfully launched and overwhelmingly passed Yes on R, a 2020 ballot measure creating systems of civilian oversight and diverting billions of dollars from prisons to incarceration alternatives. My team and I worked closely with Cullors and her teams, delivering complete rebrands for both Reform LA Jails and Yes on R including verbal and visual branding guides, robust websites, communications strategies, placards and other distributed materials, and persuasive fundraising presentations.
