The work of Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her teams stretches beyond her responsibilities on Capitol Hill into the streets, schools, parks, and food pantries of NY-14 in the Bronx and Queens. My small team at Tandem and I worked daily with AOC’s campaign manager, communications team, policy team, and grassroots organizers to deliver dynamic and innovative branding and communications strategies, a secure and accessible website and web store, versatile bilingual campaign materials, and practical educational resources. Among other management duties, I contributed political strategy, research, copywriting, creative input, and the creation of a verbal identity and guidelines for the campaign. In addition to electoral campaign work, I managed the launching of a the Green New Deal awareness campaign and the communications and grassroots efforts to inform and care for community members during the outbreak of COVID-19.
